We are looking for a responsible freelancer or a small team for the quality completion and technical refinement of the MARSPRO company website.
The website is already operational, but there are many minor and significant technical issues left by the previous developer. We need a person who can not just "fix something," but thoroughly check the website's logic, address weak points, optimize performance, and bring the site to a stable state.
The website is related to the sale of equipment: solar panels, inverters, batteries, battery systems, equipment for solar power plants, and related products.
Main Tasks
1. Payments through acquiring / payer identification
Problem: Currently, when paying through acquiring, it is not clear who exactly paid for the order.
Needed:
- check the logic of the payment plugin;
- ensure that the order number from the website is passed in the payment details;
- so that the manager can easily match the payment with a specific order;
- test the payment after making changes.
Result: It should be clear for each payment which specific order the client paid for.
2. Website speed optimization
Problem: When checked by Google, the site has a not very good speed/performance rating.
Needed:
- conduct a technical speed audit;
- optimize the site for Google PageSpeed / Core Web Vitals;
- check the mobile and desktop versions;
- optimize images, caching, scripts, styles, plugins;
- remove or replace anything that significantly slows down the site;
- provide a brief report: what was done and what metrics improved after optimization.
Result: The site should work as fast as possible without breaking functionality and design.
3. Contacts Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram
It is necessary to add or correct the logical block for quick communication with the client. Currently, we have a free line 0 800, but we can add messengers as well as regular manager numbers to the site.
Needed:
- add working buttons for Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram;
- make them convenient on both mobile and desktop versions;
- think through the display logic: floating button, widget, pop-up, or another convenient option;
- create a call to action, for example: "Write to us and get a consultation / bonus / estimate";
- so that the client can easily write or call.
Result: The user should easily find a way to contact and quickly switch to the messenger.
4. Automatic synchronization of the exchange rate with the Ministry of Finance
Problem: Currently, the exchange rate is updated regularly, but it pulls from the Ministry of Finance. There is a free version of the Ministry of Finance API that allows a limited number of requests per month.
Needed:
- check the current integration with the Ministry of Finance;
- set up automatic exchange rate updates without manual button presses;
- make updates approximately every 75–96 hours to avoid exceeding the API limit;
- logically integrate the exchange rate into the catalog, product card, cart, and order processing;
- check that the price is calculated correctly after the exchange rate update.
Result: The exchange rate is automatically updated on schedule, correctly pulled into the cart, and does not require manual intervention.
5. Products "out of stock"
Problem: Products that are out of stock can currently be in the middle of the catalog or at the top, which worsens sales, especially during sorting and filtering.
Needed:
- automatically move products with the status "out of stock" to the bottom of the catalog;
- check the functionality under different sorting options;
- visually make such products less active: dimming, marking, another understandable style;
- so that the client immediately sees that the product is out of stock;
- meanwhile, products should not disappear from the site, they should just be below active positions.
Result: All available products are displayed above, and out-of-stock products are below and visually distinct.
6. Transition from the map of Ukraine to project pages
The site has a map of Ukraine with our implemented projects. There are also already project cards/pages.
Needed:
- make it so that from a point/element on the map, one can go to the corresponding project;
- write the correct links;
- check the logic on mobile and desktop versions;
- make the transition convenient and understandable for the user.
Result: The user clicks on a project on the map and goes to the corresponding project page/card.
7. Website protection / security
This is a very important task.
It is necessary to conduct a security audit of the site and close weak points.
Needed:
- check WordPress, theme, plugins, admin panel, access;
- update everything that can be updated without risking breaking the site;
- set up basic protection against hacking;
- close obvious vulnerabilities;
- check forms, registration, authorization;
- set up or check backups;
- if necessary, install/setup a security plugin;
- provide a list of recommendations for what else needs to be done.
Result: The site should be maximally protected at the level of a normal commercial WordPress / WooCommerce platform.
8. WooCommerce promo codes
Problem: Promo codes are created, forms exist, but the discount is not applied.
Needed:
- check the settings of promo codes;
- check WooCommerce, theme, cart, checkout, possible plugin conflicts;
- fix the logic of applying promo codes;
- test different types of promo codes: percentage, fixed discount, restrictions by products/categories.
Result: Promo codes should be correctly applied in the cart and during order processing.
9. Quick return to the top button
Needed:
- add or fix the quick return to the top button;
- make it convenient and unobtrusive;
- check on mobile and desktop versions.
Result: The user can quickly return to the top of the page.
10. User cabinet, registration, and authorization check
It is necessary to fully check the logic of the personal cabinet.
Check:
- registration of a new user;
- authorization;
- logging out of the account;
- password recovery;
- changing data in the cabinet;
- order history;
- behavior after placing an order;
- emails/messages that come to the client;
- errors that the user may see.
Result: The cabinet should work logically, without errors and unclear moments for the client.
