Your task regarding the dry contact tracking is quite clear and can be implemented fairly quickly, but I have one important clarification regarding the hardware part. Please let me know if the use of Ethernet is a critical and integral requirement for your object, or if we can limit ourselves to setting up a stable Wi-Fi connection, for example, through the built-in Wi-Fi module of the ESP microcontroller, which would allow us to make the device more compact and cheaper? If a wired connection is essential for guaranteed operation 24/7, I can easily implement this based on ready-made and tested boards like WT32-ETH01 or solutions with PoE support, so that the network and power go through one cable.
