Shoptet Specialist
Has anyone worked with Shoptet and encountered such a problem and knows how to solve it?
Currently, there are two key issues with analytics and data tracking:
1. Incorrect transmission of UTM tags in Shoptet
UTM tags are not transmitted to the Shoptet admin panel, which results in a lack of information about the sources of orders. This makes it impossible to properly analyze the effectiveness of advertising channels.
2. Discrepancies between Google Analytics 4 and Meta Ads
There are significant differences in data between Google Analytics 4 and the Meta ad cabinet (the pixel is set up through Google Tag Manager). This complicates the assessment of the actual effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
The main factor of the first problem is the operation of Consent Mode (cookie consent mode). If the user does not consent to the use of cookies, then Google Analytics 4 does not collect data, accordingly, this data is not transmitted to Shoptet and UTM tags are also not stored.
It turns out that in fact - the data displayed in Shoptet directly depends on the data in Google Analytics.
If the data did not make it to GA4, then they will not appear in Shoptet either.
