Testing the website on the OpenCart platform

Goal: Identify and document all major functional, visual, and UX/UI deficiencies and bugs on the website ligasporta.com.ua for their subsequent resolution.

Project Description:

A comprehensive testing of the website developed on the OpenCart platform is required. The site is bilingual (the main language is Ukrainian, the additional language is Russian). Testing should cover both language versions of the site.

Tasks for the Tester:

Functional Testing:

Check the correctness of all main functions of the site, including:

Viewing the product catalog and product pages.

Adding products to the cart.

Placing an order (including selecting delivery and payment methods).

User registration and authorization.

Functionality of the user’s personal account.

Search and filtering functionality for products.

Functionality of the contact form.

Check the correctness of displaying prices, discounts, and product availability.

Check the operability of all links and buttons on the site.

Check the correctness of error handling (for example, when incorrect data is entered in forms).

Check the operation of the site's bilingualism: correctness of language switching, completeness and quality of translation of the main content (texts, titles, descriptions, interface elements).

Visual Testing (UI):

Check the visual integrity and design compliance on different pages of the site.

Check the correctness of displaying interface elements (texts, images, buttons, input fields, etc.).

Check for the absence of visual defects (overlapping elements, shifts, incorrect font display, low-quality images, etc.).

Check the responsiveness of the layout on different screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile devices).

Usability Testing (UX):

Evaluate the overall ease of navigation on the site.

Check the intuitiveness of the interface and clarity of elements.

Evaluate the logical placement of information on the pages.

Check the convenience of the order placement process.

Expected Result:

The tester must provide a detailed report on identified bugs and deficiencies in a format that includes:

Bug/deficiency description: Clear and understandable formulation of the problem.

Steps to reproduce: Detailed list of actions required to replicate the error.

Expected result: Description of how it should work correctly.

Actual result: Description of how it works now.

Priority: (for example, high, medium, low) – assessment of the criticality of the bug for the operation of the site.

Visual confirmation:

Mandatory: Screenshots with highlighted areas demonstrating the problem.

Desirable (if possible): Short video recordings (up to 1-2 minutes) demonstrating the reproduction process of the bug.

Language version: Indicate in which language version (main or additional) the error was found.

Device and browser: Information about the device (for example, PC, smartphone, tablet), operating system, and browser in which the error was found.

Report Format:

The report can be provided in the form of a table (for example, Google Sheets, Excel) or any other format convenient for you. The main thing is that the information is structured and easy to understand.
