Обычно обманывают и ломают сайт для пейджспид. Чтобы сам пейджспид не видел что происходит с сайтом. В этом случае рекомендую проверять сайт на пейджспид на внутренних страницах, потому что как правило там покажет иные результаты. И обязательно проверить на альтернативных анализаторах скорости. GTmetrix и WebPageTest например.
Так же совет - не давайте основную версию сайта трогать, пусть ломают запасную.
