What needs to be done:
Layout of a fiction book in Ukrainian — preparation of files for print and electronic version.
Volume: ~280–300 pages (461,737 characters with spaces)
Expected results:
— Print-ready PDF for printing at the printing house (CMYK, 300 dpi, PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4, with margins and bleed)
— Print-ready PDF for IngramSpark (print-on-demand)
— EPUB for electronic distribution (Draft2Digital, Amazon KDP)
— Project source files (InDesign or Affinity Publisher)
Requirements for the performer:
— Experience in book layout in InDesign or Affinity Publisher
— Understanding of print-ready PDF requirements (preflight without errors)
— Work with Cyrillic fonts
What is considered completed:
— PDF passed preflight without errors (printing house + IngramSpark)
— EPUB displays correctly in Kindle Previewer or Adobe Digital Editions
— Layout matches the provided design brief
Deadline: 4 weeks from the provision of materials
