I noticed a significant discrepancy in the numbers between meta ads, Google ads, and GA4.
I started to investigate and found that GTM is not functioning correctly in the context of the cookie banner.
After the user clicks Accept, the site remembers the consent, but when opening a new product page (this is just what I checked, there might be this problem elsewhere), in GTM Preview on the Container Loaded event, the consent state is still = denied. Meanwhile, GA4 Configuration, Google Ads Remarketing, and Conversion Linker are already triggered on Container Loaded.
This issue needs to be fixed so that GTM works correctly across the entire site, and to check the overall functionality of GTM.

Hello! The problem you described is a classic conflict between the loading sequence of the GTM container and the initialization of Google Consent Mode V2. Since the GA4 and Google Ads tags trigger on Container Loaded, they read the default status "denied" before your cookie banner has a chance to pass the stored cookie consent. This is why the data in the Meta and Google dashboards diverges so much.
I am ready to solve this problem:
1. I will reconfigure the Consent State logic in GTM by shifting the status updates to the Consent Initialization trigger (so that consent is read before the main tags start).
