Technical Task: Launch Google Shopping

Project: online store on OpenCart
Goal: launch Google Shopping (via Performance Max) with a budget of $10/day

What Needs to Be Done

1. Set Up Google Merchant Center

• Create an account or connect an existing one
• Verify and validate the website domain
• Set up:
  • shipping (prices, regions)
  • return policies
• Check compliance with Google policies

2. Product Feed (OpenCart)

• Set up automatic feed export from OpenCart
• Format: XML (Google Shopping)
• The feed must contain:
  • title (optimized for keywords)
  • description
  • price
  • availability
  • product link
  • image
  • brand (if applicable)
• Ensure auto-update of the feed (at least once/day)

3. Integration

• Link Google Merchant Center with Google Ads
• Check correct synchronization of products

4. Set Up Advertising in Google Ads

• Create a Performance Max campaign
• Connect the product feed
• Set up:
  • country of display
  • language
  • audiences (if possible)
• Add:
  • headlines
  • descriptions
  • images (if needed)

5. Budget and Launch

• Set budget: $10/day
• Launch the ad
• Check product visibility in Shopping

Important

• Resolve all errors and warnings in Merchant Center
• Ensure the website meets Google requirements (contacts, payment, shipping, returns)
• Do not use prohibited content (watermarks, fake prices, etc.)

Result

• Products are displayed in Google Shopping
• Performance Max campaign is running
• Feed is automatically updated
• Ads are consistently running within budget
