I will not touch your site's code to avoid breaking anything. Instead, I will write a lightweight standalone PHP script (patcher) and upload it to your server.
What the script will do:
1. Automatically fetch links from your supplier.
2. "On the fly" fix the syntax errors in the XML that are causing everything to fail.
3. Generate unique IDs for the products and assign a basic category so that OpenCart/WordPress can see them.
4. Create a new, "clean" link to the XML for your site that will always work and update automatically.
