The work was completed at a 5+ level and even more, and the result significantly exceeded expectations. The project was logically divided into two stages, and the first stage was implemented at a very high level.
The performer did not approach the task formally but deeply understood the physics of the process, analyzed the causes of PM losses, reviewed and redesigned the probe structure, considered the impact of particle deposition, condensate, geometry, and flow regime through the SEN66 sensor. It is worth noting that a simulation was performed, which significantly goes beyond standard expectations for this stage and provided a clear understanding of the reasons for the previous almost zero indicators.
As a result of Stage 1:
- a working concept for sample collection was formed with the correct flow logic
- the correct geometry and diameters that minimize PM losses were determined
- key factors negatively affecting measurements were eliminated
- a solid foundation for tests and transition to the next stage was laid
Overall, very strong engineering work was done with a real understanding of the process, not just a formal execution of the task.
