We agreed on completing 3 points from my side, an appendix, by 24:00 on the same day the project started, that is, within 3 hours; I completed it in 2 hours, and Oleg postponed the review to the next day. The next day it started:
It is necessary to do what was not described at the beginning of the project; Oleg began to say that it needs to be redone because he does not understand what exactly was changed in the code, although everything works correctly; we agreed that I would write comments in the code.
Then Oleg did not like that to fix one of the points, I needed to add 4 lines of code.
After that, Oleg said he could not close the project because, according to him, a bug arose during my modifications and that he was closing the project as incomplete and turning to arbitration. I said I would review the commit history; if it was my fault, I would fix it. Oleg realized that his attempts not to pay for the project were failing, and he began to say that he had a different database connection configuration. I asked him to reset it, to which he said the next day that he did not know how to reset it. Then he responded 3 hours after each of my messages trying to find out if it was my problem. When it became clear that the bug he was accusing me of existed before I started, the client began to talk about me transferring the changes to another repository. He tried by all means to dig into something to avoid closing the project, responding every day or two. This dragged on until 17.03.2025; on Monday, Oleg closed the project when I said I was turning to arbitration because the project review time had dragged on.

I do not recommend this client; this is his second account on the platform, the previous one was blocked for violating platform rights.

If you decide to work with him, discuss everything upfront before collaboration, and be prepared for Oleg to want to take your work without paying you for it.

Working with Maxim was quite straightforward. He clearly articulated the project requirements and provided all necessary mockups. Communication was prompt, and he responded quickly to messages. During the work, he did not interfere with the development process, which allowed for a certain freedom of action. However, the final assessment of the work turned out to be quite critical. Maxim brought in his frontend developer for a review, who identified discrepancies with the mockup. Payment was made for the actually completed part of the work without delays, despite the decision not to continue the collaboration.

# Translation to English (professional style)

I am compelled to express extreme dissatisfaction with the collaboration with this client. It is extremely regrettable to have wasted time and resources. The task was to translate video material from Romanian to Ukrainian.

The problem arose because the client, having absolutely no understanding of the context of the video material, insisted on a completely different interpretation of the content.

I will provide a specific example: in a fragment where the speaker expresses concern ("I am still worried about this, no") and gives a brief description of a young person: "Once, a person, young, healthy, strong" (original Romanian: "Vreodată, un om, un tânăr, cabradu, puternic"), after which there is a short question: "Arrest?".

In this specific situation, after describing the young man as young and strong, but at the same time homeless and illiterate, Speaker 1 asks about a possible arrest, to which he receives a clear answer: "Nothing" (in Romanian "Nimic"). This answer unequivocally refutes the assumption of a criminal past. The speaker clearly indicates that the young man's problems are related to illiteracy and lack of housing, not legal violations.

The video material that was translated is available at the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqxFIgd5Gr4 (time segment 17:58), where the phrases "Areșt?" and "Nimic" can be clearly heard, which literally means "Nothing [happened]" or "There was no arrest" — a direct denial of the fact of an arrest.

It is worth noting that the client was provided with a complete transcript of the original text in Romanian, broken down minute by minute, from the beginning to the end of the video material. However, despite the availability of this documentation, the client made no effort to verify the context (even from the provided original) and continued to insist on their incorrect interpretation of the video's content.

There were many similar cases of improper understanding. I categorically do not recommend collaborating with this client. Such an experience leads to excessive psychological stress, creates an extremely negative impression of professional interaction, and, above all, may end with an unjustified negative review from a person who completely ignores the factual context of the video material, inventing their own interpretation and unjustifiably insisting on its correctness.

But there was a significant lack of feedback on the applications; from our side, the applications are submitted at a normal price, but there was no feedback from the client. We reminded about this several times, but only at the end of the collaboration did the client write that the applications were of poor quality. Why couldn't this have been communicated right away? We were working completely blind.
