HOW TO SCALE E-COMMERCE SALES OF A BRAND IN EUROPE WITHOUT LOSING ROAS

Many Shopify stores entering the European market hit a "glass ceiling" — expensive traffic, low repeat purchase rates, and as a result, minimal or zero net profit.

For our client, we developed and implemented a comprehensive strategy that transformed their business into a sales machine. We didn't just drive traffic; we built a system that generated €758,508 in total sales and achieved $175,203 in net profit in just one month.

1. CLIENT AND TASK

Client: Shopify store cosmetics operating in a competitive European market.

Problem: The business had some sales, but growth had stalled. The main issues were as follows:

High dependence on paid advertising with constantly rising costs.

Low repeat purchase rate (LTV).

Lack of systematic work with the existing customer base.

Tasks I faced:

Break through the "financial ceiling" and elevate the business to a new income level.

Increase the share of repeat sales.

Build a system that generates not just revenue but also stable net profit.

2. MY SOLUTION AND WORK PROCESS

Instead of simply "pouring" more money into advertising, we focused on building a customer retention and monetization system (Retention Marketing), with Klaviyo as its core platform.

Key work stages:

Deep integration of Shopify + Klaviyo: We set up full data synchronization to track every step of the customer.

Development of automated funnels (Flows): Key automated email and SMS chains were created and launched, operating 24/7:

Welcome series for new subscribers.

Abandoned Cart funnel that recovered up to 25% of customers.

Post-purchase funnels to stimulate repeat purchases and collect feedback.

Reactivation campaigns for "sleeping" customers.

Campaign strategy: We developed a content plan for regular newsletters that did not "burn out" the database but increased loyalty and generated peak sales during holidays and special events.

Synergy with paid advertising: Data from Klaviyo was used to create custom and look-alike audiences in Facebook/Instagram Ads, significantly reducing the cost of acquiring new customers.

The integrated approach yielded explosive and, most importantly, profitable results.

Revenue generated by Klaviyo: €133,193.08 (which accounts for ~18% of total revenue!)

Of which €74,072 came from automated funnels (Flows).

Sales growth: +147% (compared to the previous period).

Net profit for December 2023: $175,203.19

Subscriber base growth: +76.64% (to 352,860 recipients).
