Ancient Scrolls: Morrowind
Once, I downloaded a computer game called "The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind" onto my laptop... and when I launched it, I completely lost touch with reality.
To say that this game captivated me is to say nothing. My body was in this world, while my spirit was in Morrowind - a harsh and inhospitable land of dark elves. Forgetting about sleep and food, I spent my time around the clock in this mysterious province of the Tamriel Empire, exploring the marshy terrain of Bitter Coast, the blooming Ascadian Isles, and the gloomy wasteland of Ashland... Then I learned that many mods of various categories had been created for this game - some improve graphics, others enhance gameplay, and there are many mods that introduce something new to the game (weapons, armor, characters, etc.) or improve the original models and textures, but what caught my attention the most was a massive expansion called Tamriel Rebuilt, which adds nothing less than the mainland territory of the province (only the islands of Vvardenfell and Solstheim, as well as the capital of Morrowind, Mournhold, surrounded by a high wall, were presented in the original, beyond which it was impossible to enter). After installing this expansion, I plunged even deeper into the world of The Elder Scrolls (though it seemed there was nowhere further to go) - there, on the opposite shore of the Inner Sea, new lands awaited me, where I could find new friends and make new enemies, where beasts, plants, and structures were even more amazing and bizarre than in Vvardenfell, where new mysteries and dangers awaited me at every turn...
At some point, I had the desire to embody the captivating plot and incredible atmosphere of this role-playing game in my own work based on its motives, and thus the idea for a graphic novel titled "The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind" was born. I made two trial sketches and wrote several scenes, after which I had to put the work on hold indefinitely - circumstances had conspired that way. However, I do not intend to abandon this idea, and I will definitely return to it as soon as I have the opportunity.
