"Cool Lying Down"
Nine years ago, I wrote a script for a movie.
The concept represents a classic B-movie action film in the best traditions of the 80s. The plot is soaked in testosterone at a full 146%, every scene without exception contains specific humor and tons of references to the pop culture of the VHS era, and the delivery is so clichéd that the script represents concentrated kitsch in its purest form.
All the components of a second-rate action movie are present. Let's first consider the characters - we have two partners, one of whom is calm and reasonable, while the other is a completely crazy psychopath, a boss who constantly yells at everyone, a mafia boss who resembles Don Vito from "The Godfather" in appearance and behavior, bandits who shower curses like a cornucopia when arrested, and there is also a character that is stereotypical in every way, like the Russian mercenary Ivan Smirnov, who constantly drinks Russian vodka and expresses himself exclusively in profanity. As for the other components, everything is also in place - spectacular chases with dozens of wrecked cars, powerful explosions that cause no harm to the main characters, as well as fierce shootouts in which the bad guys manage to miss even from a distance of five meters.
If you are interested in reviewing my work - feel free to follow the link to my cloud storage, where I posted the prologue and the first two scenes, in which the audience is introduced to the main characters.
P.S. I also wanted to draw a comic based on this script, but I lacked the strength and patience to finish it.
