Architecture - the chronicle of humanity
The entire history of European architecture is a living material that has constantly evolved and changed. Despite the variability of artistic forms within a given period, there have always been relatively stable artistic features - compositional, plastic, rhythmic, etc. - that defined the "face" - style - of a certain time. The emergence of different types of architectural structures has always been determined by the political and social order of the country, ideological and everyday conditions, the system of religious beliefs, and folk traditions.
