Avoid Construction Disputes non-fiction book illustration

The task was to create illustrations for a book on construction conflicts to make the book more interesting to read. The book is intended for construction professionals and aims to help them avoid conflicts by providing practical advice and examples.

To accomplish this task, I suggested using an illustration style that is simple and clear, with a focus on the key points being made in the text. I also suggested using a limited color palette to keep the illustrations easy to understand, maintain visual consistency throughout the book, and emphasize the content. In my work on this project, I chose allegorical witty sketches as the main approach to enhance the clarity of the text and aid in the reader's retention. To achieve this, I created a main character who helps convey various topics throughout the book.

The client set a rather short deadline of 2 weeks, as the book was due to be released in 2-3 weeks. The project took 10 days to complete. For the printed version of the book, the illustrations were in black and white. A total of 25 chapter illustrations and 4 icons were created to highlight important points in the text.
