Formation of the technical specification and integration of the ViarCanvas network into mapping platforms

Task:
The client approached with a problem: after adding the company to Apple Maps and Waze, the business was still not displayed on all mapping services. At the first stage, it was necessary not just to "take the project," but first to determine which platforms actually affect the visibility of the company and how to correctly describe the task for the exchange.

What I did at the start:
I analyzed the situation and explained to the client that for a full presence of the business in digital mapping, it is not enough to rely only on Apple Maps and Waze. Based on this, I prepared a ready-made structure of the technical specification for the client, outlining which platforms are involved and why they are needed:

OpenStreetMap
Bing Places for Business
TomTom / HERE WeGo
Foursquare / Yelp / Tripadvisor

I separately noted that Google My Business already exists, so we exclude Google Maps from the project and recalculate the cost. That is, I did not just take the order, but helped the client form a correct scope of work and a legally clean technical specification for the exchange.

Further implementation:
After agreeing on the terms, I completed the technical part of the project:

- collected and used the database from the previous project;
- registered infrastructure for new platforms;
- established the ViarCanvas branch network;
- requested the client for a logo, images, and local links;
- prepared profiles for mapping systems and aggregators;
- organized the structure of accounts and access;
- provided the client with usernames, passwords, instructions, and a final report.

Practical value:
In this case, I acted not only as an executor but also as a technical architect of the task: I helped the client correctly describe the project, eliminate unnecessary scope, agree on a realistic contract, and then implemented the integration itself.

Result:
The client received not a chaotic task of "adding the company somewhere else," but a structured project with a clear scope, transparent logic of work, and turnkey technical implementation.
