3D modeling and design of working drawings in SketchUp + LayO

About the project:
Development of a technical solution to eliminate the deformation defect (crack) in a load-bearing wall made of aerated concrete blocks. The task was to create a clear, accurate, and production-ready reinforcement scheme for overloaded joints to be provided to contractors.

Completed scope of work:

Engineering analysis of the defect and selection of the optimal solution (installation of a steel sleeve with load redistribution).

Precise 3D modeling of the structural frame: rolled angles, tie plates, threaded rods, fasteners.

Creation of detailed external nodes (3D fragments) to demonstrate hidden fasteners.

Preparation and layout of working documentation: setting up isometric views, creating clipping masks, applying callouts, specifications, and technical requirements.

Tools: SketchUp Pro, SketchUp LayOut.

Result: A clear and detailed drawing that eliminates errors by builders during installation. The combination of classic design with 3D visualization (isometry) makes the project maximally transparent and easy to read on the construction site.
