Project: 3D model of the city of Chicago for printing

Before you is a detailed 3D model of the city of Chicago, USA, created specifically for 3D printing. In this project, I focused on modeling the urban structure: buildings, streets, neighborhoods, terrain, industrial area. The model is fully optimized for printing — without intersections, watertight (closed mesh), with the correct wall thickness and clean topology.

! The town maps have already been successfully printed on a 3D printer and are available for sale - which confirms the quality of the work done.

Completed work:

- Modeling urban geometry based on maps and terrain data

- Mesh optimization for 3D printing (watertight, without artifacts)

- Simplification and structuring of complex urban grids

- Preparation of STL and export of finished files

- Creation of renders: isometric, top view, technical views
