How the System Works
Family members join a shared family space.
Each member connects their bank card through a secure banking integration.
Every member decides how much of their income will be contributed to the Family Budget and how much will remain personal.
Example:
Emma Income = $3,000
Family Contribution = $1,200
Personal Budget = $1,800
David Income = $4,000
Family Contribution = $1,800
Personal Budget = $2,200
The system automatically creates the Family Budget from all contributions.
Family Budget = $3,000
The Family Budget is allocated across categories such as housing, groceries, education, transportation, and family goals.
When a purchase occurs, the system identifies the card owner through the connected banking account.
Transaction → Connected Card → Card Owner
The owner receives the transaction and decides how it should be assigned:
• Family Budget • Personal Budget • Vacation Fund • Education Fund • Other Goal
The system updates balances, spending analytics, and goal progress in real time.
Users control financial transparency through visibility settings.
Budget changes and new financial goals can be proposed, discussed, approved, or rejected by family members.
The system continuously shows:
• Family Budget status • Personal Budgets • Spending categories • Shared Goals • Financial Agreements • Decision History
