PERSONAL SKILLS

• Translation: I can read aloud, in English, written texts in Russian or Ukrainian, and vice-versa. I can translate both prose and technical documentation, the more time given – the better the quality of the translation;
• Writing and editing skills: having tried my hand at many activities, watched a huge number of movies, played an immense number of computer games, and, of course, read a lot of books, I know the difference between good and bad stories as well instinctively understand their structure. Extensive training in writing (English) allowed me to hone and improve my language skills to a whole new level;
• Learning skills – knowing three languages (English, Ukrainian, Russian), I have access to a wide range of learning material online. Other than that, a lot of times, due to lack of learning and methodological materials in university, students were given complex tasks without any learning materials or manuals to refer to, sometimes even without task objectives written down or printed. Succeeding in such endeavors included advanced and real-time communication between students, advanced information searching, translation of required material to fill gaps, reverse-engineering more complex technological and scientific projects, both in search of parts to use in our own projects and for general education in the topic of research.

Other skills

I like sports, mostly strength training and riding bicycle. With computers, I made a small career fixing computers of neighbors, friends, acquaintances and, sometimes, even my teachers. Also, I possess huge experience with working in MS Windows, and can diagnose wide range of problems which can occur with computer programs in this operating system, as well as with operating system itself. As a small side hobby, I can repair computer mice (with appropriate tools).
