Нужно сделать интерпретацию произведения "Портрет Дориана Грея" согласно данному плану:

1. Study reference books to find meaningful information about the author. Analyze the literary trend he belongs to, its peculiarities as reflected in the text. Speak on the author’s style of writing, his favourite themes.
2. Indicate the setting of the story.
3. Describe the components of plot structure.
4. Determine the conflict, analyse its development through rising action to the climax. Find markers of the conflict in the text.
5. Examine plot structure techniques used by the author.
6. Interpret the title of the text.
7. Determine the narrative method and explain the author’s choice of the narrator.   
8. Describe the system of characters and means of characterization (для персонажей: Лорда Генри, Дориана, Безила, Сибил Вейн, Джеймс Вейн, Алана Чембела).
9. Examine the tonal system of the text.
10. Define the author’s message for the reader and the ways of its conveyance.

В помощь к исполнению будет выдана памятка, которая поможет вспомнить как это делается, и некоторые определения (НО ЭТО НЕ ДЕТАЛЬНАЯ ИНСТРУКЦИЯ). Для человека с профильным образованием задание не должно показаться слишком сложным.
