Project description:
I am looking for an experienced 3D specialist to complete a CAD modeling task (project under NDA).
Task essence:
A high-quality, smooth 3D model of a small dog (proportions of a Chihuahua / Toy Terrier) is needed, which must be cut into specified segments and have attachments for movable ears.
There is a rough STL file of the basic shape, but it turned out uneven and bumpy. The task is to create an aesthetic, smooth mesh from scratch or properly refine our geometry.
Approximate dimensions of the model:
Back length (from withers to base of tail): ~25 cm
Chest circumference: ~35 cm
Waist circumference: ~25 cm
Neck circumference: ~20 cm
Height at withers: ~20 cm
Technical specifications (TS):
Model a smooth body of the dog. Attached files contain references of the ideal shape.
Cut the model into segments. The attached photos clearly show with black lines how to divide the mesh. Complex internal mechanisms are not needed — just cut the geometry evenly into separate parts.
Create movable ears. The head should be made smooth from the start, without ears. Ears should be modeled separately with a ball joint: there should be a "ball" at the attachment point on the head, and a socket at the base of the ear. This is necessary for the ears to rotate freely, lower, and raise.
Requirements for output files:
Ready-to-print files in STL or 3MF formats. The model will be used for FDM printing with PETG plastic (slicer Orca Slicer). There is no strict binding to the dimensions of the 3D printer table.
It is mandatory to provide the project source files — STEP or a project in Blender, so we have the ability to make minimal edits in the future.
Collaboration conditions:
This is the first stage of work. If the first model (small size) is successfully completed, we will order the development of medium and large-sized mannequins.
In your feedback, please include links to your portfolio (especially interested in models with ball joints and assembly structures for 3D printing) and indicate the estimated cost and completion time.
