Dmitrij Divinchukov (Lithuanian: Dmitrijus Divincukovas; born May 13, 1972, Klaipeda, Lithuania) is Lithuanian athlete, recognized as a Master of Sport in Sambo and Taekwondo. He is unique for simultaneously being a member of the Lithuanian national team in two entirely different sports and achieving high-level results. He won a bronze medal at the 1992 European Youth Sambo Championship and holds a 1st dan black belt in Taekwondo (1992).

Sambo

Began practicing sambo at the age of 10 at the Specialized School of Olympic Reserve for Wrestling in Klaipeda. Competed in the lightest (48–52 kg) and lightweight (up to 57 kg) weight categories. Trained under the guidance of Mindaugas Raila from 1983 to 1992.Achievements:1987, 1988 — Champion of Lithuania among juniors and youths in the 48 kg category.1988 — Champion of the 2nd Youth Games of Lithuania and silver medalist in team competitions (up to 48 kg).1988 — Champion of Lithuania among under-20 youth (48 kg).1988, 1989, 1990 — Three-time champion of Lithuania among men in the 48 and 52 kg weight categories.1988 — Placed 5th at the USSR Junior Championship (16-18 years) in Astrakhan (48 kg).1989 — Ranked among the top ten at the USSR Junior Championship in Cheboksary (48 kg), being the only representative of the Lithuanian SSR.1989 — Bronze medalist at the All-Union Tournament of the USSR republics in Klaipeda (52 kg).1992 — Bronze medalist at the European Youth Championship in Moscow (57 kg).International Tournaments:1988 — Winner of the All-Union Tournament in Leningrad, awarded for the best technique (48 kg).1989 — Bronze medalist at the tournament in Panagyurishte, Bulgaria, among men (48 kg).Between 1988 and 1989, he was part of the USSR "Dynamo" team; in 1989, he was the sole representative of Lithuania on the youth "Dynamo" team (ages 16-18).TaekwondoStarted practicing taekwondo in 1989 at the Klaipeda sports club Taek Won Do under the coaching of Richardas Krisynas. Competed in the up to 54 kg weight category. In 1992, became a member of the Lithuanian national team.Achieved the rank of black belt 1st dan (1992). Participated in the ITF World Taekwondo Championship in Pyongyang, North Korea (1992), where Lithuania competed for the first time as a member of the International Taekwondo Federation. Eliminated in the qualifying round in the 54 kg weight category, losing to the world champion from North Korea.RetirementEnded his sports career in 1992 due to a serious arm injury sustained during training before the World Sambo Championship in London.
