Task: Automatic processing of an Excel/CSV file with data on automotive wheels.
Input data
- A file in CSV or Excel format, where:
• The first row (row 1) contains a list of parameters separated by the | symbol.
• Each subsequent row contains information about one product in the same sequence of parameters as in the first row.
File processing requirements
1. Distribution of parameters into columns
It is necessary for all parameters from the first row to be separated into individual columns. That is, instead of data in one cell with |, each parameter should go into its own column.
2. Order of columns
It is necessary to keep ONLY the required columns in the following order:
id | article_id | factory_number | availability | price | price_4 | avg_price | rvo_price | expected_delivery_date | manufacturer | type | type_color | type_design | number_of_holes | hole_circle | hole_circle2 | hole_circle3 | width | diameter | offset_from | offset_till | centre_bore | centre_bore_type | image_link_1 | description | description_2
3. Uniqueness of products
It is necessary to keep only unique products by the factory_number parameter. If there are multiple rows for one factory_number – keep the one with the lowest value in the price column.
4. Output file format
• Save the result in CSV format (separator 😉.
• Encoding – UTF-8.
5. Automation
The script/instruction should allow performing the above actions on a daily basis. The solution can be implemented as an Excel macro, or Google Sheets Script, or your solution.
Expected result
- CSV file with clean data in the specified order of columns.
- All products have a unique factory_number.
- For duplicates, only the record with the lowest price is kept.
