The task is clear: we have a limited space where we need to fit both a bathtub and a shower, while ensuring comfortable access for an elderly person with mobility issues. Since the area is 4.8 m2, the main problem is not just to "squeeze" in the plumbing, but to leave enough space for turning and maneuvering for a person of larger build.
Proposed layout (optimized for mobility)
1. Bathtub (170x70 cm): Positioned along the short wall with a window (173 cm). It fits perfectly into the niche, not taking up extra length in the room.
2. Shower cabin (I recommend 100x80 cm): Positioned along the long wall (278 cm) right next to the bathtub. This creates a single "wet zone." I recommend a Walk-in format (without a threshold) or with a tray no higher than 3 cm, which is critical for a person with a leg condition.
3. Washing + drying machines: Placed in the corner by the entrance (door side). A depth of 64 cm allows them to be flush against the wall without obstructing the door opening.
4. Toilet: Positioned on the opposite wall from the shower. For a larger build and leg issues, we allocate a space width of 90-95 cm. This will allow for grab bars to be installed on both sides.
5. Sink: Positioned between the toilet and the bathtub.
For more accurate planning, I will need the dimensions with indications of the engineering system outputs (water supply and drainage). Also, please provide the height of the window from the floor.
