Technical assignment (improvement of the OpenCart website)

The site is already operational. No migration is required.

1. Change of domain name

• Specify the new domain in the OpenCart settings

• Make changes to:

  • config.php

  • admin/config.php

• Check .htaccess (if necessary)

• Ensure that the site works correctly on the new domain

2. Site check after domain change

• Remove all mentions of the old domain

• Check:

  • images

  • styles (CSS)

  • scripts (JS)

• Check all pages for functionality

3. Connecting the template license

• Identify the installed template

• Purchase the correct license key

• Install and activate the key

• Ensure that there are no functional limitations

4. Contacts and basic settings

• Fill in and check:

  • phone

  • email

  • address (if any)

• Check the clickability of contacts

• Fix non-working links

5. Floating contact block (messengers)

Create a fixed element on the right:

Enable:

• Telegram

• WhatsApp

• Viber

• call button

Requirements:

• modern appearance

• correct operation on mobile devices

• does not interfere with the interface

6. Application form / callback

• Add a “Request a call” button

• Implement a popup form

Fields:

• name

• phone

Mandatory:

• submission of the application (email or Telegram)

• check the functionality of the form

7. Improvement of the site structure and content

• Create and/or improve blocks:

  • “About us”

  • “How we work”

  • “Why choose us”

• Create convenient blocks for content filling

• Bring the site to a logical and understandable structure

8. Improvement of the first screen

• Redesign the text:

  • add specifics (timelines, advantages)

• strengthen the call to action (CTA)

• update visuals if necessary

9. Improvement of appearance

• Replace weak/poor quality images (if necessary)

• Align elements and margins

• Create a neat modern look

10. Addition of a car catalog (mandatory)

Implement a car catalog with the ability for automatic updates (parsing/integration) and manual management through the admin panel.

Requirements:

• the site must display real cars with photos;

• each card must contain:

  • photo

  • make and model

  • price (or approximate)

  • year

  • mileage (if any)

  • description

Must implement car statuses:

• for sale

• at auction

• in bidding

• sold (optional)

Statuses must:

• be easily set in the admin panel;

• be displayed on the site;

• be used in filtering.

Additionally:

• set up filtering (make, year, price, status, etc.);

• ensure convenient manual addition and editing of cars;

• ensure regular data updates.

Important:
Management of cars must be simple and understandable without complex actions.

11. Check after completion

The performer must check:

• the site (PC and mobile)

• admin panel

• application forms

• messengers

• correct display of all elements

Important

Work is accepted only if:

• the site works completely without errors

• all forms submit applications

• contacts are clickable

• messengers work

• license is active

• the car catalog works correctly

• car statuses are displayed and switched

• all changes are saved and displayed on the site

• Deadline

  The deadline for the task is no more than 3 days from the moment of receiving all accesses.
