To enable accurate threat detection, we are currently focused on collecting a comprehensive dataset of FPV drone images for training a YOLO object detection model. Images of all types of FPV drones are valuable and welcome for inclusion in the dataset.
This dataset will be used to support the development and demonstration of a prototype version of the turret system.
Task Description:
Your task is to collect at least 5000 real images of FPV (First-Person View) drones in different environments, lighting conditions, and angles.
Image Requirements:
Image Type: Real photos or real-life stills extracted from videos (no 3D renders or synthetic data)
Minimum Resolution: At least 640×640 pixels (higher is better)
Format: Preferably .jpg or .png
Content:
FPV drones visible clearly (not partially obscured)
Various angles: front, side, top, diagonal
Diverse backgrounds and environments (urban, rural, forest, battlefield, etc.)
Drones in flight, launching, or hovering
Preferred Sources:
YouTube videos with FPV drones
Combat footage, drone POV videos, or social media posts with visible drones
News footage or military analysis videos showing real FPV drones
Deliverables:
A folder with 5000 unique images
Filenames should be unique
All images should meet resolution and realism criteria
