Idea generator for 3D STL models — creativity + structure (remote)
We create digital 3D models for printing and upload them to international platforms with paid access. Users around the world use our models for commercial purposes — and we are looking for someone who will regularly feed this process with high-quality, meaningful ideas.
💡 Your role:
You will come up with, what to model. Not just “generate cool stuff,” but:
Research trends and popular categories (Cults3D, Printables, Etsy, etc.)
Propose clear ideas that will actually be printed, used, and bought
Select visual references and formulate structured technical specifications for 3D modelers
Create collections and sets (for example: “for workshop,” “desktop decor,” “children’s room”)
Track which models perform well — and scale what works
👀 We are looking for a person who:
Knows how to combine creativity with practicality (thinking not only “what looks good,” but also “what can be printed”)
Loves themes of 3D, DIY, decor, accessories, and useful items
Good at searching for and organizing references
Understands how the user thinks: why do they need this? where will they use it?
Ready to work with spreadsheets, checklists, and reasonable deadlines
Knows the basics of STL/3D or is willing to quickly learn them

I would categorize my ideas into a few groups that were personally necessary for me and for people in my circle.
For example:
Various types of key holders. For instance, a "booth" where different cute dog keychains are inserted by shape. (I saw something similar on Pinterest).
A key holder for people who own multiple cars. The same idea applies, using keychain inserts.
… This is at least fun and also makes a great gift.
Practical items can also include various figurines—on which you can attach headphones (very liked and suitable for gamers). Figurines can be anime girls or various superheroes. But they should be in a stable pose so that headphones can be conveniently placed. Similar ideas can be applied to stands for mugs, phones, and other everyday items.
There is also a need for printing various parts, for example, for the automotive industry. Some elements simply corrode due to poor conditions, and the best solution is to install parts made of PET plastic, for example. Naturally, these parts should be for mass-produced cars only.
I can also include fun shapes for car air fresheners.
Some of these ideas I have seen or heard about from my circle of contacts, and some from personal experience.
