Essence
This is a web application that addresses the pain of the maritime hiring market through a mechanism that millions of people already know and love — swipes like in Tinder.
Ease for the sailor: uploaded CV — and that's it. No forms, no fields, no "please specify your work experience for the last 10 years." AI extracts the name, skills, experience, and certificates by itself. Then the sailor simply swipes through the companies that interest him.
Ease for the company: created a job vacancy — received a list of sailors sorted by AI based on relevance. You swipe those who fit. If the interest is mutual — match, chat, contract.
Why this is not just another job site
Because all existing platforms (HeadHunter, Indeed, maritime job boards) require the candidate to do the work. You fill out forms, write cover letters, copy the same thing over and over again.
Here — on the contrary. The platform works for the candidate. The sailor is a scarce specialist. Why force him to work? Let him upload his CV and wait for invitations, just like in Tinder.
And companies receive not a pile of unstructured CVs, but clean profiles with an AI assessment of "this sailor is a 94% fit." HR stops reading hundreds of documents and starts swiping.
Architecture
Two users:
Sailor — looking for a job
Company / HR — looking for crew
Two interfaces:
· For the sailor: upload CV → view profile → company cards → swipe → matches → chat
· For the company: create a job vacancy → sailor cards with AI assessment → swipe → matches → chat
One engine:
· OpenAI parses CV into structure
· The algorithm shows cards to the side that is currently active
· Upon mutual swiping — match
· Internal chat for communication
Why I believe in this
The problem is real. I have gone through this myself. Spending hours filling out forms for each company is madness.
The mechanics are clear. No need to explain how to use it. Everyone knows Tinder.
AI is not just for show. This is not just "cool technology." It solves a specific task: eliminating manual data entry. Without AI, the project does not work.
Niche market. Sailors are a clear audience. Shipping companies know each other. If you launch in this niche and do it well, you can capture the market and then expand into other professions.
What’s in the MVP
The minimum version we are launching in 2–4 weeks:
· Registration of sailors / registration of HR (company representative)
· Upload CV → parsing through OpenAI
· Swipe mechanics from both sides
· AI compatibility assessment for companies
· Matches and chat
· Adaptive web (works from mobile)
My role
I am not just a "client." I am a technical founder. I understand code, architecture, engineering. I will oversee the process, make technical decisions together with the developer, test, and provide feedback.
My task is to ensure that the product is not just "made," but made correctly, quickly, and with passion.
