Position Overview:
The Head of Community will be a pivotal leader responsible for shaping, growing, and nurturing a diverse community of developers, builders, and users. This role will design and implement the community development strategy, establish scalable programs, and create valuable feedback mechanisms to inform internal teams. It requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage internal and external relationships while cultivating a thriving ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute a global community development strategy prioritizing developers and fostering inclusivity for builders and users.
• Design frameworks, tools, and processes that enable community members to self-organize and collaborate autonomously.
• Align community initiatives with broader company goals, ensuring seamless integration with marketing, developer relations (DevRel), and product teams.
• Coordinate among decentralized working groups, DAOs, and AI-related projects.
Community Management and Growth
• Build and scale an Ambassador Program to recruit, train, and support regional leaders.
• Create targeted engagement channels and spaces (e.g., Telegram, Discord) for developers, token holders, and users.
• Establish feedback loops to inform product and engineering teams of community needs and challenges.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with external collaborators and open-source contributors.
Event and Program Coordination
• Plan and oversee virtual and in-person events such as hackathons, workshops, meetups, and conferences, working closely with DevRel and marketing teams.
• Support Ambassador-led events with resources, guidance, and logistical coordination.
• Design gamified programs (e.g., XP systems) to incentivize participation and recognize contributions.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a bridge between the ecosystem’s participants, including foundations, DAOs, and working groups.
• Collaborate with community members and stakeholders to align on governance and community goals.
• Advocate for decentralized AI and open-source contributions in broader tech and blockchain communities.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
• Define and track OKRs/KPIs, such as community size, engagement, and retention metrics.
• Share performance insights with internal teams, leadership, and investors.
• Monitor the impact of community initiatives and present actionable recommendations.
Stakeholder Alignment and Team Management
• Work with cross-functional teams to create content that highlights achievements and milestones.
• Foster a culture of storytelling within the organization to communicate key successes effectively.
• Ensure alignment across remote teams and external partners, maintaining efficiency and collaboration.
• Manage external vendors and contractors with the ecosystem’s best interests in mind.
