Task description:
Professional preparation of four electronic books in the “Lilith” series in formats EPUB, FB2, MOBI, PDF (clean typography, without “broken” layout). I will provide the source files.
Not a “one-click conversion,” but a proper publishing assembly.
What needs to be done:
Preparation operation. For “Lilith-3” and “Lilith-4” there are HTML versions (UA and BE). They need to be brought to the same appearance as the Russian version and the final formats assembled.
Images are already embedded in HTML (the <img> tags are in place), a total of about 30 images in total, I will provide a link to the Russian text, no need to search for images.
- EPUB — valid, correctly readable on the phone.
- FB2 — correct metadata (author/title/series/book number).
- MOBI — opens correctly in Kindle/readers, table of contents works.
- PDF — readable, normal margins/fonts, neat paragraphs.
- Quality control: check on 2–3 applications/readers (any, but must be able to open and scroll).
Important:
- no unauthorized “editorial” changes to the text (only correction of technical layout/typography errors).
- consistent styles for headings/subheadings.
- correct quotes/dashes/indentations.
- clickable table of contents (EPUB/MOBI).
Technical requirements (mandatory):
- Metadata in all formats: Author / Title / Language / Series + Volume number (if series).
- EPUB: validity (epubcheck), correct table of contents (nav + NCX), clean styles without junk from Word.
- FB2: correct structure of sections/headings, UTF-8 encoding, sequence (series/number).
- MOBI: working table of contents and correct styles (Kindle/readers).
- PDF: text PDF (not images), readable layout and embedded fonts.
- Before submission: a short check on 2–3 applications/devices and report what was used for the check.
Result:
- files EPUB/FB2/MOBI/PDF
- a short comment: where checked, everything okay.
