Deploying a dynamic WordPress monolith on ephemeral Railway containers for 20 pages of text from Markdown is an architectural paradox. Attempting to make WP "as lightweight as possible" for such a task will create more problems with database synchronization and media file disappearance than it will provide real speed.
Abandoning unnecessary databases: If the content is already structured in .md, using a CMS with MySQL queries only slows down rendering. Building a static site (for example, on Astro) transforms these files into clean, lightning-fast HTML that will score 100/100 in PageSpeed without any caching plugins.
Specifics of ephemeral hosting: Railway does not have persistent local storage (FTP is absent precisely for this reason). Any uploads of illustrations or OG thumbnails through the standard WP admin will disappear upon the next container restart unless a complex bridge to external S3 is built. A Git-oriented static architecture solves this natively.
Isolated conversion infrastructure: Lightweight feedback forms and a clean GTM container are mounted via API or serverless functions without connecting heavy modules, keeping the code ideal and 100% English-speaking without "junk" in the core.
What business sense is there in paying to fight with the heavy core of WordPress and configuring its crutches for Railway, if your task is perfectly solved by deploying an uncompromisingly fast static site without a database in the same time?
