Budget: 1000 UAH Deadline: 10 days

I will set up your own secure mail server turnkey, conduct a seamless migration of all 20+ mailboxes with full preservation of archives, and ensure uninterrupted mail operation during the domain switch for a fixed price of 300 euros.

How exactly do you plan to warm up the IP address of the new server and configure PTR, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records so that your emails do not get stuck in the spam filters of Microsoft and Google, completely paralyzing the company's external communications?

I am ready to start a technical audit of your domains and select optimal hosting for the server today, and we will discuss the detailed sequence of user migration in personal correspondence.

Hello!

Setting up your own mail server and migrating your 20+ mailboxes from Gmail is my area (Linux/DevOps), I can do it. However, as a specialist, I must honestly warn you about the main points, as they affect your business.

The server itself (Postfix/Dovecot or Mailcow) can be set up quickly. The complexity and risk lie not in this, but in three things:

1) Deliverability. To ensure that emails from your own server do NOT end up in spam for recipients, proper SPF, DKIM, DMARC, PTR record (reverse DNS), IP warming, and blacklist checks are needed. This is the most common reason why self-hosted email "works, but emails do not arrive."

2) Migration without loss. Transferring the history of 20+ active mailboxes and switching MX records without downtime and without losing incoming emails at the moment of transition.

Hello!

I have reviewed your task regarding email migration, and I dare to suggest an alternative approach:

From a technical standpoint, it is possible to set up your own mail server, but in your case, I do not recommend this option. For business email, it is important not only for the server to function but also for stable email delivery, meaning that the email you send lands in the "Inbox" and not in spam. This will pose constant problems with your own mail server.

Additionally, a personal mail server requires ongoing technical support. Even after proper initial setup, there can be issues with email delivery: emails may end up in spam, be delayed, or not be accepted by the recipient's mail services due to IP reputation, blacklists, DNS errors, or changes in the requirements of major email providers. Therefore, this option requires regular administration, monitoring, and quick incident response.

Thus, instead of setting up your own mail server, I suggest using a ready-made email service. This will be more reliable, easier to maintain, and safer for stable business email operations, although it is slightly more expensive. However, considering that you will still need to regularly consult specialists to fine-tune your own service, in the end, it will balance out.

Good day! I will set up my own mail server and migrate 20+ mailboxes from Gmail.

Stack: Mailcow on VPS (Postfix + Dovecot + rspamd) — convenient control panel, easy to administer. For 2 domains, I will set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC, PTR records, and warm up the IP so that emails do not end up in spam. Migration via imapsync — all mail is preserved, MX switch without downtime.

Where do you plan to host the server - do you have a VPS or do you need to find one?

Hello! This is my area — Linux/DevOps, I will set everything up and transfer it neatly. The main risks here are deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, PTR, IP warming) and migration without losing emails at the moment of switching MX. Both are manageable if done without haste. Realistic estimate: ~$100, 3-4 days. This includes setting up the server, configuring security, migrating 20+ mailboxes, and testing delivery on Gmail/Outlook. Ready to start soon — message me, and we will discuss the details.
