Project Description:
A performer is needed to set up and refine the workflow in n8n: we parse products/prices from online store websites using CSS selectors, the configuration is stored in Google Sheets. We record the results in Google Sheets (further possible update of OpenCart/DB).
What is already available:
MVP concept + example workflow (imported JSON)
Configuration table with URL
Tasks (mandatory):
Import/setup workflow in n8n (self-hosted or cloud)
Read configuration from Google Sheets:
urlParse HTML page (HTTP request) + extract fields (name/price/image/availability/model)
Normalization (price to number, absolute URL of the image, available true/false)
Record results in Google Sheets (append)
Add minimal anti-ban: delays, User-Agent, errors/retries
Logs/errors: to see where a specific URL “failed”
Desirable (plus):
Proxy support (optional)
Support for parsing lists (category → extract all product URLs → parse each)
Add update module (MySQL update / API)
Docker-compose for self-hosted n8n (if possible)
Requirements for the performer:
Experience with n8n (HTTP Request, Code node, Google Sheets, Error Handling)
Understanding of web parsing, CSS selectors, anti-bot nuances
Careful delivery of the finished workflow + short instruction (important)
