We are looking for a talented narrative writer. This person will be responsible for developing engaging, interactive storylines that align with our existing content while expanding the world, characters, and narrative arcs we have created. The ideal candidate has experience in interactive storytelling, game writing, or scriptwriting, preferably with a background in mobile app story novela themes.
For this specific project, we need to create one story line spread over 6 mini games-story novels, we already have an intro section done. We also have learning parts in each mini games, wrote by our therapist, that should be included in the full story.
Responsibilities:
- Continue and expand upon our existing story world and characters.
- Develop interactive narratives that align with our structure, breaking the story into well-defined chapters.
- Integrate learning modules written by Julia, ensuring a seamless blend between the educational and narrative aspects.
- Create compelling dialogue, branching story paths, and character-driven experiences that engage users.
- Maintain the tone, style, and themes of our existing content while bringing fresh ideas to enhance the experience.
- Collaborate with our development team to ensure smooth integration of the story into our app.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in narrative design, game writing, or interactive fiction.
- Strong understanding of character development, pacing, and dialogue writing.
- Ability to work with existing story elements and expand them creatively.
- Understanding of gamification techniques for learning and engagement.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based role.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with branching narrative structures (Ink) is a bonus.
- Experience working with psychology-based, mental health, or educational themes is a plus.
- Background in game development or interactive media.
