Server setup for Laravel website (Polish version of ViarCanvas)
🔹 General information:
The website is written in Laravel.
Installation and server configuration for production are required.
Priority: stability, speed, image processing support
🔸 What needs to be done:
1. Install server OS:
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (by agreement).
Update the system and enable the firewall.
2. Set up environment for Laravel:
Configure permissions and directories for Laravel (
/var/www/project,.env,storage,bootstrap/cacheetc.).

6. Configure email sending:
Configure outgoing email using SMTP (via Mailgun/Zoho/Brevo)
Configure email reception — through external mail service or locally
Configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, PTR records in DNS
Configure SSL (port 465/587) for secure sending
Check deliverability via https://mail-tester.com
Test: emails should not go to spam (Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook)
Receiving emails on corporate e-mail: //
for outgoing mail (forms/notifications) — use external SMTP (e.g., Mailgun, Brevo, Sendgrid)
for reception — Zoho Mail (free up to 5 addresses) or use external mailboxes (e.g., Gmail via SMTP)
7. Monitoring:
Connect UptimeRobot (enough).
Install htop, iotop, vnstat — basic utilities.
8. Prepare for deployment:
Connect project via Git
Configure environment
.env, permissions, Laravel keys (php artisan key:generate,storage:link, etc.)
🔸 Access and infrastructure:
Server will be on VPS (Hetzner).
Panel can be: HestiaCP.
Domain and DNS are already set.
🔸 Optional (if time remains):
Connect Cloudflare (if CDN is needed).
Prepare automatic backups (on S3 or locally).
