We need a specialist with knowledge of English to brief the client and draw up detailed terms of reference for the development team.
There will be the first call - on which you will ask all questions. Then, if necessary, we will call the client at the required frequency to clarify all the details.
The app would be public and used by pool professionals to accurately measure swimming pools (regardless of shape) in order to replace old vinyl swimming pool liners with new vinyl swimming pool liners.
This is how it would work step by step.
1. The pool professional would roll out a bright orange strip of vinyl that is exactly 20' long and 4 inches wide and place this strip somewhere on the pool deck next to the swimming pool. The pool professional would also place four bright orange circles/markers at the four breakpoints...two at shallow-end breakpoints and 2 at deep-end breakpoints. (see photos below for breakpoints).
2. The pool professional would use a drone equipped with an HD camera. The drone would be flown 50 to 100 feet above the swimming pool and a photo of the pool, orange strip, and orange breakpoint markers would be taken.
3. The photo would then be uploaded to the APP.
4. The app would then apply a grid overlay to the photo of the swimming pool. The grid overlay would use the 20-foot orange strip to precisely identify the scale of the pool. The grid overlay would also allow the app to precisely identify the four breakpoints.
5. The user would enter the pool coping cantilever (0-4 inches).
6. The app would then differentiate the color of the interior of the pool and the color of the pool deck in order to create a detailed precise drawing of the pool shape and use the grid overlay to identify the exact 1:1 scale of the pool referencing the 20' orange strip to establish scale. The app would automatically increase the over size of the pool by the inches of cantilever entered by the user. For example: If the user enters a coping cantilever of 1 inch then the app would automatically increase the perimeter of the pool 360 degrees by one inch making the length 2 inches longer (one inch on each side of the pool.
7. The user would now enter the full length of the pool and the longest width of the pool across the deep end for confirmation measurements. The user would also enter the length of the back slopes and the shallow end depth and the deep end depth.
8. The app would use this information to generate a CAD drawing. If the length and width confirmation measurements entered by the user vary by more than 2 inches an alert will be generated.
9. The CAD drawing could then be uploaded to the cloud or emailed to the manufacturer via the app and auto-charge the manufacturer a small fee for app use.
