It is necessary to perform the design of the board.
We need a design for a PCB. A control panel has been developed on a prototype, which communicates via the RS-485 interface based on the RP2040 microcontroller and interacts with a Modbus relay block or another RP2040.
The prototype was physically made using:
- Raspberry Pi Pico
- RS-485 — UART - TTL
- OLED display 0.96" SSD1306 I2C 128X64
- 4 pcs RGB LED NeoPixel WS2812B
- 5 pcs tactile buttons
- DC-DC 12V to 5V
We want to replicate this on a more compact board. For programming, it is necessary to add a USB-C port. RS-485 and VCC with GND input on the board can be implemented using a terminal block.
The board will eventually be mounted in a custom case, but we would like to make the whole thing as compact as possible.
The client has an amateur level of understanding of the topic but is not a puritan and is open to suggestions from a professional. There is no rush, so we can discuss the timeline and payment.
