-если что, акварель это растр. Перевод в вектор сильно изменит картинку и кот уже будет другой. Если вы рисуете иллюстрацию на основе другой, достаточно внести ряд отличий и все.
А с учетом того, что иллюстрация нужна векторная, отличия будут все равно. Сами смотрите. Вот типичная векторная иллюстрация. Разницу смекаете? (векторные иллюстрации гладкие, состоят из заливок, линий и градиентов) даже если вы сделаете по примеру того кота выше, это уже будет совсем другая иллюстрация

-Так что полемика насчет "авторских" прав вообще не актуальна, если вам нужен именно вектор. Т.к при конвертации в вектор меняется полностью внешний вид кота, детали шерсти. А общего с исходной иллюстрацией остается по сути только цвет шерсти, очков и кепки (и то, не обязательно). Так что делайте иллюстрацию, берите вашего кота за основной реф. Векторщик как бы не старался не сделает в векторе кота идентичным растровому (т.к в акварели есть текучесть красок и текстура бумаги как минимум).
Покупать картинку на стоке не советую для логотипа. Дело в том, что картинку могут купить и другие люди и так же будут использовать ее в своих проектах. Выходит у вас будет ширпотреб. Стремитесь к уникальности бренда. Берите референсы и делайте свое за те же деньги, за которые бы выкупили ширпотреб по сути. Рада, если помогла как опытный топ 3 художник этого портала.
