Перенос WebSocket проекта с localhost на хостинг
Здравствуйте, возникла проблема с переносом простенького чата с локального сервера на хостинг.
В папке с проектом на локалхосте лежит серверный скрипт "server.php", который успешно запускается командой "php server.php", однако после переноса на хостинг запуск того же файла дает ошибку - Uncaught RuntimeException: Failed to listen on "tcp://0.0.0.0:8080": Address already in use in
Судя по ошибке, я предположил, что проблема в порту, поменял его на свободный и после этого скрипт стал просто зависать не выдавая никакой ошибки в логах.
По сути, задача заключается в настройке WebSocket'а на хостинге.
Оплата сразу после настройки, либо через сейф.

А хостинг поддерживает свое приложение вешать на каком-то порту? Большинство вирт хостингов такого не дают

а, я так понял VPS сервер обязателен для подобного рода задач?

В основном да, большинство укр хостеров больших (ukraine,hostiq) не дают вешать свои приложения на вирт. хостинге
