I am looking for an experienced React Native/Expo developer for an urgent task related to the application.

Google requires newer versions of libraries starting from October 1st, and our mobile application will be rejected if we do not perform the update.

First step:
I would like to start the collaboration with a short online consultation (1–2h), during which:

• we will analyze the current state of the application (Expo, React Native versions, dependencies) (I will share the application code on GitLab),

• we will discuss possible paths to a solution (minimum upgrade vs. full migration),

• we will identify risks and the scope of necessary work,

• we will decide whether to proceed with the collaboration on the migration itself.

After the first step, I would like to receive a report with the required scope of work and an estimate of further work needed to update the application. The subject of this order is precisely the report on the state of the application and a detailed estimate of further work needed for the update.

Scope of potential work after the consultation/report:
• upgrade of library versions (React, React Native, Expo SDK),

• adjusting the code so that the application works after the update,

• preparing builds acceptable by Google Play,

• briefly transferring know-how to our junior developer (maintaining the project in the future).

Requirements:

• experience in migrating Expo / React Native projects,

• practice in solving problems after upgrades (dependency hell, deprecated APIs),

• readiness for quick action (deadline November 1st).

• communication in Polish or English,

Form of cooperation:

• stage 1: paid consultation and preparation of a report with work estimates,

• stage 2: possible implementation of the application upgrade (scope and budget to be determined after the consultation).

Deadline:

• consultation as soon as possible,

• the application upgrade must be ready by November 1st, 2025 at the latest.

Additional information:

• the code is being developed by a junior developer, so I expect support + knowledge transfer, • collaboration is fully remote.
