"3D моделька" це найменша проблема, ви маєте уявлення як використовувати LOD`s на сайті, бо 3д дизайнер може зробити тільки 3д моделі, анімувати їх (не всі), все інше це робота прогера!

Взагалі тут справа не в моделі, а в самій webgl анімації. Зробити світіння материків під час на веденні не проблема. Так само можна зробити певні вже закладені міста або країни. Наближення тут ніякого немає, під час натискання на конкретну країну можна зробити перехід (телепорт) у якийсь панорамний вид, який буде потрібен для тревел-агенства.
