Regarding the task, it is clear; I regularly handle such integrations. The architecture is drawn correctly, I will just add that without capturing the tracking-id on the forms, the entire chain of lead-deal-Google Ads does not work, so we will start from this.
How it works technically.
On OpenCart forms, we capture GCLID (from the URL) and client_id (from GA4 cookie _ga). We record this in custom fields of the SalesDrive card along with the lead. Without this, it is impossible to link a closed deal to an ad click later.
The middleware is raised by a simple PHP script on your server with OpenCart, without a separate infrastructure. It catches the webhook from SalesDrive when the deal status changes to closed.
Then the middleware sends two requests. To GA4 via Measurement Protocol: event purchase, transaction_id from the deal, value, currency, the same client_id that was saved from the lead. To Google Ads via Offline Conversion Upload API with GCLID, conversion value, and timestamp. If there is only an email or phone (for example, through Binotel), we use Enhanced Conversions for Leads.
The Binotel part requires special attention. Telephone leads do not come with GCLID automatically. There are two options: substitute numbers from Binotel if they are enabled for the session, or Enhanced Conversions via hashed email/phone.
We can do a demo. We will set up capturing GCLID and client_id on one test OpenCart form and show how these values reach the SalesDrive card. This is the most vulnerable part of the entire chain, and you will see the approach before starting the main work. No prepayment required.
What I would like to clarify before the assessment.
Are GCLID and _ga.cid currently captured in SalesDrive forms, or does this need to be added from scratch?
