There is an export of problematic URLs from Google Search Console. Among them may be:
— deleted product and category pages;
— incorrect or outdated links;
— URLs with technical parameters and extra characters;
— links that redirect to the homepage instead of the desired page;
— old page addresses after changing the website structure.
What needs to be done: Analyze the provided list of URLs with 404 errors. Determine the correct current page for each link. Prepare correct 301 redirects. Create a file for bulk import of redirects into Khoroshop. Do not automatically redirect all deleted pages to the homepage. For pages without a suitable equivalent, determine whether to leave a 404 or 410 response. Check to ensure that no redirect chains or loops occur after the setup. Check the internal links of the website and specify the pages where broken links are located. After making changes, provide a final report:
— old URL;
— new URL;
— type of correction;
— verification status. It is important to have experience working with the Khoroshop platform, Google Search Console, 301 redirects, and SEO.
