It is necessary to develop a program (desktop, web, or script) that will automatically collect, process, and analyze statistical data on tennis matches to predict potential outcomes. The final result of the program should be a coefficient reflecting the probability of each player's victory, based on specified parameters.
Data sources (API):
The program should be able to integrate with one or more open APIs providing tennis statistics (for example, Sportradar, The Odds API, or similar, or the website Flashscore.com).
The API should provide data on past matches, including information about court surface (hard, clay, grass), as well as game and set results.
Data collection and processing:
The program should request and receive statistics for the last 5 matches for each of the two players.
The obtained statistics should be broken down by sets.
A filtering mechanism for tiebreaks must be implemented: data on games played in tiebreaks should be excluded from the overall analysis, as their nature differs from standard games.
Weighting logic:
Games played on the same surface as the current match receive the highest weight (for example, 0.67).
Games played on a different surface (not matching the current one) receive the lowest weight (for example, 0.33).
(Optional) A third surface can be considered (for example, if the current match is on hard court, and previous matches were on clay and grass).
4. Coefficient calculation:
Based on the weighted data for each player, calculate the overall probability of winning a game.
Calculation formula: P(win in game) = (Total games on main surface - games won on main surface × surface weight) + (Total games on other surface - games won on other surface × surface weight)
Ultimately, the program should output coefficients for each player based on their probability of winning the match.
Interface (UI/UX)
The program should display results in a user-friendly format, for example:
Player 1 name: Coefficient (e.g., 1.55)
Player 2 name: Coefficient (e.g., 2.45)
Technical requirements:
Programming language: Python, JavaScript, or others, as agreed with the developer.
Use of libraries for API interaction, data processing (e.g., Pandas), and possibly for creating a graphical interface.
