The Software Tech Lead will be responsible for a number of areas:
1. **System design** defining architecture and choosing technologies.
2. **Programming**, maintaining applications and ensuring their security.
3. **Integration of external resources**, defining tools and technologies.
4. **Collaboration** with product and database departments, as well as leading the development team.
Requirements for Software Tech Lead in creating a web service with a database background:
1. **Experience in Building Web Services**: Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing web applications, including working with front-end and back-end.
2. **Knowledge of Web Technologies**: Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one of the popular front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g. Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails).
3. **Database Skills**: Deep knowledge of database design, query optimization, and data management. Experience working with relational (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational database systems (e.g. MongoDB).
4. **Experience in External Resource Integration**: Understanding of API utilization, external libraries, cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and readiness to quickly learn new technologies.
5. **Project Management**: Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and manage the development team. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
6. **Communication and Collaboration**: Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with product, database, and other departments to understand their needs and solve problems together.
7. **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to quickly identify and solve technical problems, both in terms of code and system architecture.
8. **Knowledge of Best Practices and Security Standards**: Knowledge of ensuring the security of web applications, including protection against common threats (e.g. OWASP Top 10).
9. **Experience in Creating and Maintaining Technical Documentation**: Ability to create clear and effective documentation for developers, testers, and end users.
10. **Mentoring and Team Development**: Willingness to share knowledge and experience, mentor younger team members, promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The Software Tech Lead must combine deep technical knowledge with managerial and communication skills to effectively lead the team in achieving project goals and ensure high quality of the final product.
