Design Task for Retreat Center
Project Goal:
Create a comfortable and functional retreat center for accommodating and conducting group practices for up to 12–16 people, with preservation and reconstruction of existing buildings and structures, as well as additional new facilities.
2. Object Composition
Existing facilities:
Residential building for 8 people (possible modernization)
Old garage — convert into a practice hall
Old pool — carry out reconstruction (pool basin, cladding, utilities)
New construction:
Bathhouse (sauna) with steam room, washing area, and relaxation zone
Guest houses (2–4 units, each for 2 people with a bathroom)
Showers and toilets (separate or integrated)
New septic system designed for the entire complex
Parking for 6–8 cars at the end of the site
Open fire area with a designated seating zone
3. Main Requirements
Unified style for all structures (natural materials, calm tones, modern appearance)
Landscape design with pathways, greenery, and lighting
Allow for future expansion of the complex
4. Working Documentation
The design organization must prepare a full set of working drawings, including:
Master plan of the site
Plans, facades, sections of buildings
Nodes and details of structures
Engineering network drawings (water supply, sewage, heating, ventilation, electricity)
Landscape design drawings
Survey drawings of existing buildings
Material and equipment specifications
3D visualizations of key objects and the territory
The work needs to start with the concept of a yoga and pilates hall, which is a reconstruction of an existing garage. Also, plan the zoning of the site, an open fire pit, and a bathhouse. Below, attach the drawing of this building.
