Greetings. We apologize for the use of Russian in the project description. The entire technical stack, Master Checklist, and communication with the current development team were conducted in that language. To maintain the accuracy of terminology and the efficiency of the tech lead's work, the description is published in the original language of the documentation. Thank you for your understanding.
Project Description:
We are looking for a Tech Lead (Backend/PHP Expert) to finalize and launch the P2P yacht rental platform — CharterBnB.com. The project is at the MVP+ stage, the stack is deployed, and the architecture is ready. We need someone who will take on the backend core and become the "code arbiter" for the entire team.
Area of Responsibility:
- Execution of your scope of tasks (see "Technical Challenge" below).
- Technical acceptance (Code Review) of the work results from DevOps and Frontend.
- Ensuring that third-party code does not compromise the integrity of the system core and search performance.
Technical Stack:
WordPress, JetEngine (CCT/Query Builder), ACF, WPML, Paid Memberships Pro, GitHub Actions, WPMerge.io.
Your Key Engineering Challenges:
- Hybrid CCT Engine: Creating a high-performance SQL structure based on CCT for searching by dates and prices.
- Overlap Logic: Implementing complex overlap period logic (availability of yachts) through custom SQL clauses. The goal is TTFB < 300ms.
- Data Integrity Fix: Resolving data saving conflicts between JetFormBuilder and WPML, transferring logic to acf/save_post hooks.
- Protocol “Cinderella” (PMPro + Stripe): automating the lifecycle of rates and limits through Paid Memberships Pro and Stripe.
- Repo Master & Gatekeeper: You are the sole owner of the main branch. You conduct Code Review for other blocks (Frontend, DevOps) and control the integrity of the system.
Your “Crew” (Team under your technical control):
- Frontend Developer: implementation of interfaces and synchronization of filters with your CCT engine.
- DevOps Engineer: server setup (CloudPanel) and CI/CD.
- SEO Specialist: setting up metadata and analytics.
- Localizer: translation via WPML AI, setting up multilingual chats and notifications.
- Content Manager: creating 30+ benchmark listings and filling the Yacht Academy.
Your goal is not to do the work for everyone, but to conduct Code Review, control the deployment branch, and ensure that third-party code does not "blow up" the system core and search performance.
Payment Terms (Milestone Safe):
- 80% of the Safe: paid after completing all your personal technical tasks (CCT Engine, Overlap logic, data stabilization, PMPro automation, etc.). And after you conduct the final Code Review for DevOps and Frontend, the final code is successfully merged into main and passes a Smoke test on the Live server.
- 20% of the Safe: paid after final site content filling by the content manager and completion of all SEO and Localization work. Your task at this stage: ensure that the technical foundation works without conflicts during bulk data entry and translations. You receive the remainder when the system is fully ready for GoLive with all content.
Our Rules of the Game (Master Standard SSoT):
- GitHub First: No edits via FTP. Only Atomic Commits, PR, and Branch Protection.
- Step 0: Any work in the sandbox starts with “Pull from Live” via WPMerge.io.
- Responsibility: We value autonomy. You choose architectural solutions, but you are responsible for the result.
Details:
A complete technical specification, detailed Master Checklist, and access will be provided after a short technical interview. We need an engineer who values order and discipline.
Looking forward to having you on board!
“Important: The full scope of tasks, technical metrics (KPI), and development rules are documented in the Detailed Technical Specification and Master Standard SSoT, which are provided to the candidate before the Safe is opened. The reservation of funds in the Safe is made upon meeting all the requirements of these documents. Acceptance of work is based on 100% compliance of the final result with these standards.”
