Script for checking Google Ads advertising accounts within our MCC based on certain criteria

📌 Goal

Develop a script or program that will check advertising accounts within a specified MCC (My Client Center) in Google Ads based on several criteria, and save the results in an accessible and understandable format (for example, Google Sheets or JSON export to Google Drive/email). The check should be performed as needed, meaning it is run when necessary and checked.

🧩 Context

• We gain access to MCC accounts (containers), which have client Google Ads accounts added.
• Within the MCC, there are many accounts, each of which needs to be analyzed.

✅ What needs to be checked for each advertising account:

1. Matching account owner with MCC owner
   • Check customer_id, customer_client_id, manager_id, and other meta-data.
   • Ensure that the account truly belongs to or is linked to the current MCC.

1. Banners and notifications at the top of the account
   Check for the following statuses:
   • 🔴 Account inactive
   • ⚠️ Requires verification
   • 💰 Has debts
   • 🛑 Restrictions or ban
   • 📋 Other Google Ads notifications requiring intervention

1. Results for each account should include:
   • Customer ID
   • List of identified issues
   • Overall status (OK / Needs attention)
   • Date of check

📤 Where to save the results

• Google Sheets (preferably created automatically and accessible via email)

⚙️ Implementation requirements

• Language: preferably Python or Apps Script (if native for Google Ads)
• Integration with Google Ads API: use Google Ads API
• Access to MCC: use OAuth2 token linked to email/project
• Extensibility: code structure should allow adding new checks in the future
• Reporting: human-readable format with filtering for "Problematic accounts"
